MCM Net get involved with World Hunger Day 2019
28th May 2019 was World Hunger Day, an initiative by The Hunger Project which aims to empower people living in hunger. Unbelievably, more than 821 million people in the world do not have enough food.
MCM Net wanted to make a difference and so the team clubbed together on a mission to prepare a food donation box, (or boxes) which we then donated to a local Day Centre in Maidstone.
We put together 4 large boxes which included a variety of supplies including tinned veg, soups, pasta, noodles, cereals, tinned fish, preserves and much more, which we hope will be a great help to the Maidstone Day Centre, who support homeless and vulnerable people.
All food donations given to the centre are checked by their staff and sorted before either being used to prepare hot meals on site, or arranged into packages for the food bank they also run.
